The jewelry industry needs new talent and design creativity to stay healthy. New artists should also learn business skills to run their small businesses well in today’s global market. Halstead gives a grant to a new jewelry designer who works mainly in silver every summer.

The winner gets $7,500 in start-up money and $1,000 in merchandise. They also get industry recognition. We also give a smaller cash prize and business promotion to finalists. The best reward the winner and finalists get is a feedback report with notes from all the judges.
